www.lasvegasmtg.com report: Remembering our Las Vegas Nevada Veterans on Memorial Day is more then an excuse to have an extra day off. It is a time to remember those that have sacrificed so much for the freedoms we take for granted. Without their sacrifices the veterans and their families have made what would America be today? Most Americans are removed from the impact that the families experience daily when their loved ones are separated for long periods of time in war time or deployed in foreign countries.

National and Las Vegas Nevada Veteran Facts

So tomorrow thank a veteran for their service for their country and for you. Tell your children why we celebrate Memorial Day and lets take a moment out of our lives to give thanks. Let's have a moment of remembrance for those brave servicemen and woman that cannot celebrate Memorial Day with us.

It is terrible that many kids and adults look at the calendar and see a day off to have burgers and hot dogs, they don't understand the true meaning of this event.

Bud and Beth,

Thank you for the comment. I know in this family the holiday means more then getting a extra day off.
