Building a Niche Market in Las Vegas, Nevada can come from some unexpected sources, let me explain. About four months ago I met with two gentleman at one of my Realtor's office thinking I was going to take an application. I did get some information on one of the gentleman necessary to get qualified for a loan, but not before I was interviewed by the other gentleman. I was asked questions about who I was, what did I stand for, and why I was the best person to work with his friend. I was being interviewed by the unofficial patriarch of the Ethiopian Community. This was the beginning of building my Niche Market with the Ethiopian Community.
I think what has helped me to build on this Niche Market has been my world travels and the love and respect for other cultures and their traditions. While I have been working with my clients I've learned their customs and their history. I have eaten their national dishes with them, and I have shared long conversations with them while building a strong friendship and respect for their culture. I have asked out of respect for their customs the proper etiquette as to not offend them in their home.
I'm a outsider in the Ethiopian Community, but I have been accepted as one that can be trusted with this proud and loyal community. The Ethiopian Community in Las Vegas, Nevada are over 30,000 strong. While initially I did not know that I was building my Niche Market with the Ethiopian Community it happened because I showed that I care for each of my clients. I showed a respect for them and a commitment to work hard to achieve the same goals as they do. I have been invited into their home and developed a long and lasting friendship. This I value as a gift and treasure this beyond words.
It has been a honor to be accepted into this Niche Market working to help attain the dream of home ownership for the Ethiopian Community. I will not abuse their trust that has been given to me.
